Audience: Parents & Caregivers
What happens to the support and services a student with a disability receives when they graduate from high school? Join our colleagues from Rowan University for an informative and family-friendly session exploring what students can expect when they transition to college. We’ll discuss how disability services in higher education differ from the supports provided in K–12 schools, what accommodations and resources may be available, and what students and families can do to prepare for a successful transition. This session will help parents and caregivers better understand the college experience and how to support their student in becoming an effective self-advocate.
