Join the Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education (ODCTE) for upcoming professional development sessions to learn more about Innovative Grants that could expand transition opportunities in your secondary school, technology center, or college!
Sessions will include information on the required Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA), local application, and new innovative grant opportunities for rural schools that don’t meet the $15,000.00 allocation requirement! All training sessions, whether in person or virtual, will include the same information.
There are eight FY 27 two-year Innovative Grants available for Career Development and Programs of Study, Career Pathways, Workforce, and Industry Partnerships, Supporting CTE Special Populations, High Growth and Emerging Technologies, Innovation in Career Exploration, CTE New Programs, Improving Academic Proficiency, and Innovative Strategies to Recruit and Retain CTE Instructors. Applications open on March 2, 2026 and close on May 6, 2026.
Eligible applicants include secondary schools, technology centers, and colleges who meet ODCTE’s specific criteria for Innovative Grants. Due to the criteria used to determine eligible applicants, transition stakeholders with ideas for meeting one or more grant initiatives listed should contact their entity’s Perkins coordinator to ask about possibilities for pursuing an innovative grant. As transition stakeholders, we’ll never know about the possibilities if we don’t advocate, ask, and collaborate!
